Black River Hockey Tournament

This winter was jam packed with running here and there and every where! : ) One of the highlights for the COLD winter was our Hockey Tournaments for Charlie. I feel we were truely blessed this year with all of our kids & parents being such great, warm, and caring families!!! Which made us an extended family on the weekends that shared our joys and scares during the games both on and off the ice :).

Pictures- First is the 1st Place winning team in the tournament; second is Kerri & Michelle reading the team bed time storiesis, last but NOT LEAST is Madie showing off her "I make these PJ's look good" atire. CUTE!

Easter

This year the kids enjoyed Easter in Chippewa as we made the long drive to Rhinelander on Saturday to visit my Grandparents. They are doing VERY well for themselves at the ages of 95 and 96 still at home!!!
Madie and Charlie enjoyed the easter basket hunt, but I think enjoyed the candy and gifts much more!!
It was off to Grandma and Papa's house for a brunch and a card game of Skippo with the family. Poor Ashley has sworn that game is not her favorite- as always she is a GREAT sport about it!! This year Madie picked out her own Easter dress and was eagar to show off to all how it was "poofy" and twirled so nicely. These kids are so darn CUTE!!!!

Family Vacation

This year we decided it was time to take another annual family trip. We decided that the Kalahari seemed to be a great place to go for parents and kids. We rented a 5 bedroom condo at the resort that offered all the amenities one could want - hot tub, pool table, movie theater seating with an over sized, surround sound flat screen, dart board, and lots of room for the kids to run around in!!! Who could ask for more? Well there was a whirlpool tub that the Madie and Kat played in for quite some time, a great kitchen with all amenities, & plenty of bathrooms. We were spoiled!! We played at the water park before coming back to the room, where the younger kids were tuckered out and the older kids and Jon, Jeni, Ashley, & I all went back to ride some more rides (& a couple of tropical beverages). We headed back to the condo to play some phase 10 where I am sorry to say that Ashley once again did not move very far off the first phase. She was a good sport and made the game really fun for all with her commentary!! THANKS ASHLEY!!! Kids all went to bed and the adults got in the hot tub!!! We went to bed late and got up the next morning to make a late breakfast feast before heading back to the park. There was not a lot of action from the gang the next day so we headed out to and went to the outlet mall for some shopping. Overall the trip was a GREAT Success and fun was had by all!!!
